Candle Care – to enjoy your Nunhead Gardener candle to its fullest, follow these simple tips:

• First Burn: Allow your candle to burn for at least two hours, ensuring the surface wax melts evenly. This prevents tunnelling and helps your candle burn cleanly.


• Trim the Wick: Keep the wick trimmed to 0.5–1cm before each use to minimise smoking and ensure an even flame.


• Placement: Burn in a well-ventilated room, away from drafts, and always place your candle on a heat-resistant surface.


• Keep It Clean: Ensure the candle’s surface is free of dust and debris to maintain a fresh, pure fragrance.


• Extinguishing: After blowing out the flame, make sure the wick remains upright and cantered for optimal future burns.


• Burn Time: For best results, burn your candle for 30 minutes to 2 hours at a time. Avoid burning for more than 4 hours to prevent overheating.


• Finish With Care: Stop using your candle when only 10mm of wax remains to protect the glass container.
