Did you know? We’re always looking for ways to make what we do kinder for the environment. Where we have to re-net a tree in-store we are now transitioning to using VacuBioNet – an innovative and eco-friendly alternative to plastic.

This 100% compostable netting is made from renewable plant-based materials like corn starch and sugarcane (polylactic acid or PLA). It’s fully compostable in commercial facilities and breaks down naturally without leaving harmful residues. Once you’re done with it, just pop it into your green waste bin!

While the trees arrive from our suppliers in plastic netting, our switch to VacuBioNet for re-wrapping is a step toward reducing waste and supporting a more sustainable future. Plus, producing VacuBioNet requires significantly less energy and cuts greenhouse gas emissions by up to 75% compared to petroleum-based plastics.
