Description
Overview:
An exotic climbing Hoya prized for its long, leathery leaves marked with striking silvery-green veining against a deep green backdrop.
Plants supplied in a growers pot, decorative pot not included.
Key Features & Care:
Light / Position: Bright, indirect light suits it best; too little and the veining fades, too much direct sun can scorch the leaves
Water / Feed: Let the compost dry out almost completely between waterings; feed lightly during the growing months
Temperature / Humidity: Grows best between 15–29°C with moderate to high humidity
Pet / Child Friendly: Non-toxic to cats and dogs
Growth / Spread: A slow-growing climber; leaves can reach up to 25cm long, with mature vines eventually stretching several metres given a support to climb
Geographic Origins: Native to the rainforests of Borneo, Southeast Asia
Care tips:
As an epiphyte in the wild, this Hoya is used to growing in loose, airy bark rather than dense soil, so a chunky, orchid-style mix will help its roots breathe. Patience is key — it’s a considered grower rather than a fast one, but the foliage more than earns its keep in the meantime.
Why you’ll love it:
Sculptural, vein-marked leaves that bring genuine botanical interest to a plant shelf or trellis.
