Plant in a gritty, well-draining cactus mix and place in a sunny position. Water less in winter when growth slows, and never let it sit in soggy soil. Rotate occasionally to ensure even growth, and give it space – those spines are no joke!

This classic cactus adds instant architectural interest and low-maintenance charm to any space.
