Description
Overview:
An upright, multi-stemmed foliage plant with lance-shaped leaves striped in green and creamy white, offering three staggered trunk heights for a naturally layered look. Pot size shown refers to diameter, not plant height.
Plants supplied in a growers pot, decorative pot not included.
Key Features & Care:
Light / Position: Happy in bright, indirect light and tolerant of lower light too, though the white striping stays most vivid with plenty of natural light
Water / Feed: Let the top few centimetres of compost dry out before watering again, roughly every two to three weeks; feed monthly during spring and summer
Temperature / Humidity: Best at 18–24°C, away from cold draughts and heating vents; happy with average room humidity
Pet / Child Friendly: Toxic if ingested, so best kept out of reach of pets and small children
Air purifying: Recognised for helping filter common airborne toxins from the surrounding air
Growth / Spread: A slow to moderate grower; indoors it can eventually reach 1–1.8m in height, though the layered trunk heights on this plant will keep their staggered look for a long time
Geographic Origins: Native to tropical Africa
Care tips:
Warneckii can be sensitive to tap water, so leaf-tip browning is often down to fluoride or salts rather than a watering mistake — filtered or rainwater will help keep the foliage crisp. It’s an obliging plant that copes well with lower light spots, making it a reliable choice for a hallway or office corner.
Why you’ll love it:
Elegant, low-maintenance foliage with a naturally sculptural, layered silhouette.
