Evergreen lime-green foliage stands out wonderfully as a centrepiece of a flower bed, in a patio container, or even grown as a low hedge. Cupressus Goldcrest Wilma is a truly versatile plant and will certainly earn its place in any scheme. This lovely conifer also has a slight lemon fragrance to the foliage if brushed when passing and will happily tolerate a position in full sun.

Plant out cypress an any well drained soil in full sun and provide shelter from strong, drying winds. If container grown, use a good quality soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3.

Cupressus Goldcrest Wilma is a fast-growing tree, and in ideal growing conditions will achieve around 40-60cm per year, ultimately reaching a height of up to five metres. Applying a mulch at the base of the plant in spring will aid its growth.

Plant Cupressus Goldcrest Wilma in a sunny area for the brightest foliage. This cypress is happy in normal, well-drained soil, and is ideal for coastal gardens. This tree will grow happily in beds or pots.

Cupressus ‘Goldcrest’ is a hardy plant, but that doesn’t mean ‘indestructible’. Protect from persistent winds, and if you’re using it as a hedge, keep plants 70-90cm apart to avoid roots growing against each other.
