Description

‘Arendsii White’ is a great choice for the partially shaded scree garden, wall or alpine trough. From a low evergreen mound of bright green leaves, this Saxifraga bears short stems of upfacing, cup-shaped white flowers in spring.

Garden care: Trim back after flowering, avoiding autumn and spring. Water moderately when actively growing and avoid winter wet. A light top-dressing of sharp sand after flowering will promote tight clumps, and help with surface drainage in order to prevent root rot.

 

Position: full sun with a little shade during the hottest part of the day

Soil: freely draining in winter, but able to hold some moisture during the warmer months
