Description
Low maintenance, semi-evergreen, and a vibrant colour – what’s not to like about the Heuchera! With ruffled, rounded reddish-brown leaves, come late spring they produce slender stems bearing small white flowers that last into summer. In sheltered spots, they should retain their foliage all year round; but if it does drop, then they’ll return in the next season. Although very self-sufficient, they do benefit from annual mulching (to retain moisture) and its worth removing dead flowers too. To save them from becoming too woody and tired, it’s best to divide and replant every 3 years or so as well. Sold in grower’s pot Mature Height: 0.1-0.5m Mature Spread: 0.1-0.5m Flower Colour: White Flowering Time: Spring Foliage: Semi-evergreen Fragrant: No Growth Rate: Medium Hardiness: Hardy in all but the most exposed areas Position: Partial shade Soil Moisture: Moist but well-drained Soil PH: Acid, neutral Soil Type: Clay, loam, sand Please note: images show how this plant may look at various stages of maturity.
