Description
Digitalis ‘Dalmatian Cream’ is a fast-growing foxglove that flowers in its first year, producing a magnificent spire of bell-shaped cream flowers speckled with deep purple, arising from a low rosette of downy leaves. An absolute staple for cottage gardens, woodland gardens and mixed borders, this shade-tolerant biennial or short-lived perennial looks stunning when planted in groups and will self-seed to create lovely colonies if allowed. If seedlings aren’t desired, simply deadhead before seeds ripen – this will also encourage further flower spikes to develop. Loved by bees, ‘Dalmatian Cream’ is a relatively compact variety that is incredibly easy to grow, requires virtually no maintenance and holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit. Height: 50cm (20in). Spread: 35cm (14in).
