Description

Compact and low-maintenance, these grass-like perennials are happiest in poorly draining soil. In fact they’re happy to be planted in shallow water (in baskets) which makes them a useful pond plant. Super-hardy they are semi-evergreen and can also be used as a border plant and provide great contrast and texture.

They’re best in the sun but can tolerate shade too. They’re relatively low maintenance, the only real task is to remove spent leaves. They should be divided every few years or so to prevent becoming too congested.
