Description
This lovely Feather Reed grass is one of taller species growing to around 1m. On flowering it produces feathery tips which flutter and sway in the breeze. Plant singly or in a group for a screening effect. Often known as feather reed grass, Calamagrostis × acutiflora ‘Karl Foerster’ can create a great feathery screen when planted en masse. The main feature of this grass is its upright habit and it can also be planted in small groups to add height and definition to a perennial border. Birds will appreciate the dry foliage for use as nesting material in the spring also.
