Why We Love It

‘Yellow Mammoth’ is one of the most popular crocus varieties, admired for its large, bright yellow blooms that bring sunshine to the late-winter garden. It naturalises readily, forming clumps that increase in size each year for an ever-more dazzling display.

Ideal for scattering in grass for a meadow-like effect, planting in drifts through borders, or grouping in pots for a vibrant seasonal accent. Its strong colour also pairs beautifully with purple and white crocuses for a striking contrast.

How to Plant & Grow

• Plant from September to November before the ground freezes.
• Choose a sunny or partially shaded spot with well-drained soil.
• Plant bulbs 8–10cm deep and 5–8cm apart.
• Water well after planting, keeping soil moist but not waterlogged.
• Allow foliage to die back naturally to feed bulbs for the following year.
