Why We Love It
‘Pickwick’ is a favourite among gardeners for its bold purple striping and large, goblet-shaped flowers. Compact yet striking, it naturalises readily to form cheerful carpets that return year after year, brightening the garden at the very start of spring.
It pairs beautifully with plain yellow or white crocuses for contrast, or with early narcissus and iris reticulata for a layered seasonal display. Ideal for naturalising in grass or planting in drifts through borders for maximum impact.
