Why We Love It

Cristophii is one of the most dramatic allium varieties, admired for its giant, airy flower heads that shimmer with metallic lilac tones. Its semi-transparent structure allows it to blend beautifully with perennials and grasses, adding impact without heaviness.

Even after flowering, the seed heads remain decorative, making excellent dried stems for arrangements. Whether planted singly as a focal point or in groups for a bold effect, Allium cristophii always makes a statement.

How to Plant & Grow

• Plant from September to December before the ground freezes.
• Choose a sunny, well-drained spot — alliums dislike heavy, waterlogged soil.
• Plant bulbs 15cm deep and 15–20cm apart.
• Water well after planting, but avoid overwatering.
• Allow foliage to die back naturally to feed bulbs for the following year.
