Description

Strongly scented, this half-hardy semi-evergreen perennial has small tubular white, pink and purple flowers, appearing in summer, which are popular with bees and other pollinators. Native to the Mediterranean, the leaves are commonly used in Greek and Italian dishes and can be used fresh or dried.

Although less-hardy than other varieties it is considered to have the best flavour and is easy to grow so long as there is plenty of sunshine and well-drained soil, where it will grow up to a meter high and half a meter wide.
