Ficus carica ‘Brown Turkey’ – Brown Turkey fig

Description
A sizeable shrub, eventually, with large, rough, glossy palmate leaves and sweet, brown, red-fleshed figs in late summer. One of the most reliable fig varieties for the UK climate.
Figs fruit best with a restricted root run, so plant it in a large pot first, then sink this into the ground. This also helps to keep the plant compact. Train it against a sheltered wall or grow towards the back of a border.
