Family Pittosporaceae?Originating from New Zealand A bushy, evergreen shrub with small leaves, variegated green and cream. This is one of the most eye-catching of all variegated evergreens. The wavy edged leaves are generously marbled and some leaves are almost completely white, and produced in profusion on black, wiry stems. Small, insignificant looking dark purple flowers are borne in summer with a fragrance of honey that waft their scent in the evenings.?‘Irene Patterson’ is slow growing, compact, and can be pruned into hummocky mounds. Grow in moist but well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Height and spread after 3 – 4 years 1.5m x 80cm Mature height and spread after 8 – 10 years if not pruned 2.5m x 1.8m
