Description
Able to grow in all but the driest soils, these evergreen perennials have long trailing shoots bearing pure white flowers from spring through until the autumn.
They prefer full sun but will also be at home in shadier areas too – spreading low and outwards, providing ground cover rather than height. Their creeping nature can become a nuisance if not managed well but they can also be useful as a way of suppressing weeds; and unlike other varieties of Vinca, these are less vigorous so more manageable.
Happy with exposed areas, Vincas also work well in window boxes, hanging baskets, and containers where their shoots will overhang the edges giving a more organic look.
