A striking large-flowered crocus, Crocus ‘Vanguard’, displays silvery-lilac outer petals that open to reveal a rich purple interior with vibrant orange stamens. Flowering in late winter, this bold variety provides a welcome burst of colour when little else is in bloom, brightening borders, lawns, and containers.

How to Plant & Grow

• Plant from September to November before the ground freezes.
• Choose a sunny or partially shaded spot with well-drained soil.
• Plant bulbs 8–10cm deep and 5–8cm apart.
• Water well after planting, keeping soil moist but not waterlogged.
• Allow foliage to die back naturally to feed bulbs for the following year.
