Gymnocalycium mihanovichii (Moon Cactus)
£8.99
Description
This cute “mutant” cactus is actually a combination of two cacti, typically Gymnocalycium (the sicon) and a rootstock cactus, such as Hylocereus. The term “moon cactus” typically refers to the yellow and orange varieties, however red varieties are also available. IMPORTANT – The colour of the moon cactus you receive will be selected at random. You are unable to request a specific colour. Supplied in a 8.5cm growers pot. Plant Care Tips:
Light: Likes bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight
Water: During spring and summer water every 10 days, allowing the water to drain thoroughly. Allow the potting mix to completely dry between waterings. During autumn and winter reduce the watering to every 4 weeks.
Fertiliser: Cactus survive some of the harshest conditions on earth so fertilising is welcomed but not necessary. Only feed two or three times during spring or summer, using a specialised cacti fertiliser. Do not feed during autumn or winter.
Toxicity: Cacti are non-toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. However, the spines of the cacti can accidentally injure your pet if it’s exploring the plant.
Please note: the pot in the photograph is not supplied with the plant (which is sent out in a simple nursery pot). They do however make excellent potted plants and, if you wish to pot yours up, we do have a wide range of pots on our website to choose from.
Please note: images show how this plant may look at various stages of maturity. The size you choose may look different.
