Description
Overview:
A small-leaved, bushy succulent with cream-edged, jade-green foliage on wiry red stems, giving it a lovely bonsai-like presence on a sunny shelf.
Plants supplied in a growers pot, decorative pot not included.
Key Features & Care:
Light / Position: Needs plenty of bright light, ideally a few hours of direct sun each day to keep the variegation vivid
Water / Feed: Allow the compost to dry out fully between waterings; feed occasionally through the growing season
Temperature / Humidity: Happiest between 15–24°C; tolerates dry indoor air well
Pet / Child Friendly: Non-toxic to cats and dogs
Growth / Spread: Slow-growing, though can eventually reach shrub-like proportions outdoors in its native range; kept as a houseplant and lightly pruned, it stays compact and bushy for years
Geographic Origins: Native to South Africa
Care tips:
This one loves a sunny spot and doesn’t mind being left alone — underwatering is always the safer bet with succulents. Its naturally branching, woody stems make it a favourite for training into a miniature tree shape, so prune to encourage a fuller, bushier form.
Why you’ll love it:
Charming, low-fuss foliage that only gets more characterful with age.
