Description
Overview:
A slender, bottle-shaped glass terrarium with a natural cork stopper, planted with vivid red and green fittonia over a bed of moss, gravel and earth.
Key Features & Care:
Light / Position: Bright, indirect light works well; keep out of direct sun, which can overheat the glass and scorch the leaves inside
Water / Feed: Largely self-sustaining once settled; only add a little water if condensation disappears from the glass and the moss starts to look dry, typically every few months
Temperature / Humidity: Best kept at normal room temperature, away from radiators and cold windowsills; the closed environment maintains its own humidity
Pet / Child Friendly: Fittonia is non-toxic
Growth / Spread: Growth stays slow and compact within the glass; fittonia’s naturally low, spreading habit suits the bottle shape well.
Care tips:
Water only when needed — a light misting every couple of months is usually plenty, and a heavily fogged bottle just needs its cork left off for a few hours to clear. Fittonia’s colourful veining will stay brightest with steady warmth and gentle light.
Why you’ll love it:
A pretty contrast of red and green foliage in a distinctive bottle shape, needing next to no upkeep.
