Why We Love It:
F1 hybrid cucumbers are specially bred for their outstanding vigour, productivity, and disease resistance. This variety offers smooth, straight fruits with a sweet, refreshing flavour and minimal seeds. Easy to grow and quick to harvest, it’s perfect for beginners and experienced gardeners alike, delivering impressive yields in small spaces.
Sowing & Growing Tips:
When to Sow: Plant young plants outdoors or into greenhouse beds from late May, after all risk of frost
Germination Time: (For reference if sowing seeds) 7–14 days at 20–25°C
Where to Grow: Greenhouses, sheltered raised beds, large containers with support
Care Notes: Provide vertical support with canes or netting. Water consistently, especially during fruiting, and feed weekly with a balanced liquid fertiliser. Pinch out the growing tip after 6–7 leaves to encourage side shoots and heavier cropping.
The Nunhead Gardener Recommends:
Grow alongside marigolds to attract pollinators and deter whitefly. Enjoy these cucumbers sliced into salads, layered into sandwiches, or pickled for a refreshing homemade treat.
