Description

Peperomia Caperata ‘Red Luna’ is a popular houseplant with stunning dark red leaves and deeply grooved foliage. It belongs to the Piperaceae family and is native to Central and South America.

Light: Peperomia Caperata ‘Red Luna’ prefers bright, indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight can burn the leaves, so it’s best to keep it away from windows that receive direct sunlight.

Watering: Allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering. Peperomia Caperata ‘Red Luna’ is susceptible to root rot, so it’s important not to overwater. Water the plant deeply, and then allow the excess water to drain out of the pot.

Humidity: The plant thrives in humid conditions, so it’s best to place it in a humid environment.

Temperature: Peperomia Caperata ‘Red Luna’ prefers temperatures between 18-24°C (65-75°F). The plant cannot tolerate temperatures below 12°C (54°F).

Soil: Use well-draining potting soil that is rich in organic matter. Peperomia Caperata ‘Red Luna’ prefers slightly acidic soil with a pH range of 5.5-6.5.

Fertiliser: Fertilise your plant once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertiliser.

Pruning: Prune the plant to control its growth and remove any dead or damaged leaves.

With proper care, Peperomia Caperata ‘Red Luna’ can thrive and make a beautiful addition to your indoor garden. The plant’s stunning dark red foliage is sure to add a pop of colour to any room in your home.
