Fargesia plants are one of the best types of bamboo plant due to their multiple, short canes and delicate appearance. As the new shoots grow, they will initally reveal a rusty red colour before maturing to a light green. Develops masses of tiny, thin green leavesPlant Advice:
Before planting, be sure to add some well-rooted manure or garden compost to allow the plant to have the best possible start in your garden. Water regularly and make sure that if planted in containers or borders, that the plants do not dry out – even during the Winter period – as their light foliage is prone to wind scorch. Fargesia Pingwu is an extremely attractive bamboo variety, an ideal addition to any garden. Supplied at a height of around 80cm, these bamboo plants display various small and delicate canes which will grow and develop with masses of tiny thin green leaves – which are evergreen, so will stay all year round.
