Chamaerops Humilis
Description
Chamaerops humilis is also known as the dwarf fan palm, and is the only truly native palm to Europe. If you’re looking to add a touch of the exotic then these structural plants create an attractive focal point. Its an evergreen with fan-shaped leaves that can reach up to 80cm across. It’s naturally slow growing and rarely exceeds 300cm in height. These palms are ideal for growing in pots or the ground, they’re suited to sun or partial shade, and can do well outdoors or in a conservatory. Minimal pruning is required. The plant benefits from regular watering and multi-purpose feed in the summer months. Please note that the pot in the photograph is not supplied with the plant (which is sent out in a simple nursery pot).
