Description
This compact, unassuming plant really packs a punch! Mat-forming and evergreen, ‘Kitte Blue’ is an easy to grow alpine perennial that frows to about 10cm tall.
Great for drier spots (like rock gardens) or in chalky soil, in springtime you’ll be rewarded with a blast of closely packed miniature purple flowers with yellow centres that could almost be pansies in their appearance.
Good for ground cover (especially on slopes which will provide the good drainage they prefer) they also grow well in borders and planters; their creeping nature will provide some overhang and help fill gaps with their low-maintenance, year-round greenery.
‘Cushiony’ in appearance, they love full sun (though will survive in partial shade) and are great for attracting pollinators.
