Why We Love It:
Cosmos ‘Sensations Mix’ produces an abundance of large, daisy-like blooms in a cheerful mix of pinks, whites and magentas, set against fine, ferny foliage. These tall, airy plants are perfect for adding height and softness to borders and make excellent cut flowers. Loved by bees and butterflies, they flower nonstop with very little effort—just keep cutting or deadheading to keep them going.
Planting & Care Tips:
When to Plant: Sow indoors from March to April or direct sow after the last frost (May onwards)
Where to Plant: Sunny, sheltered spot in beds or large containers
Spacing: 30–45cm apart
Care Notes: Water regularly, stake taller plants if needed, and deadhead or cut for vases to encourage more blooms
The Nunhead Gardener Recommends:
Perfect alongside nasturtiums and calendula for a low-maintenance, pollinator-friendly border. For a soft cottage garden look, sow in waves and pair with grasses or ammi for contrast and movement.
